When your child attend Children’s Church on a Sunday morning here is what they (and you) can expect!
We begin each morning in our Worship room located next to the Coffee Area in the kitchen.
In this room we greet one another and spend some time sharing praise reports, prayer requests and any other life updates the kiddos want to share. We then move into worship. We use Group’s Vacation Bible School songs during our time of worship with the kids. These songs are high energy, scripture based and have dance moves the children can follow along with if they choose. This allows the kids to get some energy out along with dancing and singing their praise to God.
Following worship we play a short video that gives an over view of that day’s Bible Story/Lesson. After the video, we split up into groups based on the children’s age/grade. We then rotate the groups through three stations: Bible, Craft and Games. During Bible we dive deeper into that morning’s lesson/story and we recap what we have been learning in the previous weeks. In games and crafts we try to keep their hands and feet busy so the stay engaged but also make sure the activity points back to what they learned in the Bible Story/Lesson.
After the kids have attended each rotation we allow them to have some free time on the playground if the weather permits.
While the school age children are enjoying Children’s church, our youngest friends get to play and explore the nursery. During their time in the nursery they get to play with other children and babies their age, read books, dance to worship music and enjoy a small snack. We strive to make the nursery be a safe place for every child and do our very best to show them the love of Jesus while we care for them.
We always welcome more volunteers to come join us as we serve our kiddos each and every week. Parents are also welcome to come sit and observe any time to get a better idea of what their children get to experience on Sunday mornings.
